Noemi Castella is a swiss artist. Her work investigates socio-political issues through fiction and storytelling using different mediums such as video, sound, animation and crafts.
Noemi Castella was born in 1997 in Lausanne. She graduated from the Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design de Genève (HEAD) in 2018, then worked as production assistant for the film production agency vandy studio before joining the Master of Space and Communication at the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design de Genève (HEAD). She obtained her Master's degree with the mention "Excellent" and the award “Prix d’Excellence de la HES-SO du domaine Design”. She then worked as a MA Teaching Assistant in the MA Space and Communication (HEAD).
Today, she is engaged in her personal artistic endeavors, while also working as a filmmaker and managing the video pole at the communication agency Up to you in Fribourg. Additionally, she is an invited speaker at HEAD. In 2024 she co-created Frousse with Paradoxe Studio. Frousse is a creative atelier in Bulle, Fribourg.
